Barking and Dagenham Citizens Advice Bureau is a member of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureau and has been working in the community since 1939. We are a charitable company limited by guarantee governed by a committed voluntary trustee board. We are reliant upon volunteers and funding to deliver our services. In delivering services to Barking and Dagenham residents we value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.

Advice and information
We are an independent service providing free, confidential and impartial advice and information to everybody in Barking and Dagenham regardless of race, ethnicity, age, sex, disability, religion, belief or LGBT status.
We provide information/advice on debt and money, welfare rights and benefits, housing and homelessness, employment, discrimination, family, legal and many other areas of advice.

Social Policy and Campaigns
Alongside other bureaux and the national association, we campaign towards improving the problems facing citizens in the UK. We use the evidence collected from clients to identify policies and laws that cause an injustice to the local community. We use this information to influence policy makers and campaign for change.
